Honest John Plain, Duncan Reid, Casino Steel & Vom Ritchie of The Boys have recorded a new album along with Backstreet Girls guitarist Peter Baarli, which is set to be released September 2010.

In advance of the album they are to release a new recording of a previously unreleased 1980 Boys demo, "Talk To Me" as a single in June. To promote the single and forthcoming album The Mattless Boys will play two live shows in London.

Casino Steel had been in the influential Hollywood Brats, who formed in London in 1972 around the songwriting partnership of Steel and Andrew Matheson and later joined legendary UK punk band London SS.

Steel went on to play in The Boys with Honest John Plain & Duncan Reid. The Boys were amongst the first wave of the UK punk explosion in the mid 1970's and became the first UK punk band to sign an album deal in January 1977. Highly regarded by the music press and their contemporaries, their pop approach and use of harmonies led to their description as The Beatles of Punk', with their debut album entering the UK charts in September 1977.

Vom Ritchie was in Dr & The Medics when they hit the UK Number 1 spot with their cover of "Spirit In The Sky". He went on to form B Bang Cider before joining The Boys on drums in 1999. He is also the drummer with mega German punk band Die Toten Hosen.

Petter Baarli has worked with Steel & Plain on numerous occasions over the years, most notably as guitarist in The Last Rock N Roll Band, but is probably best known as the guitarist in The Backstreet Girls.
